What’s a ‘doorable’?

Whatever she’s on about, R is currently saying to D
“you’re my doorable”
I’m confused. Has anyone ever called either of them ‘adorable’?

Snapshot of my morning

D in a Bob the Builder t-shirt, carrying a tool box containing one very small winnie-the-pooh, saying ‘dubadubaduba’
R bouncing from her windowsill to her bed and back, singing ‘half past seven, half past seven!’ over and over again.

He’s a good kid…

He doesn’t tend to go through shut doors (or try to open them), he doesn’t attempt to climb out of his cot (yet) despite R’s numerous examples of how to do so, and he is transfixed by the teletubbies, so is easily hypnotised.
Ok, so he was standing fully dressed in the bath this morning with [...]

Which came first, the books or the plant?

While we are keeping the house ’super-tidy’ in the hope of selling, we have had flowers on some of the windowsills. This was great, except that some lasted better than others, some got blackfly and infected the rest, and some bunches just didn’t look right with others when incorporated into one vase. So [...]

I’m great at it!
However, this morning I remembered to both get the bins out in time, and water the plants! Yay!
Ahem. Will spend the afternoon making scones with R, (however you pronounce them, they still taste great) as Wonderful Husband picked up some clotted cream yesterday, and we have nothing else [...]

A week later…

and we’re back! Strange really, no-one knew we were going away!
Husband got home after midnight on Tuesday night, so was still tired when we got up. He said I’m phoning them, and if they agree, we’re going away for the weekend. He did, they did, and we did.
Had a fantastic time, we [...]

This feels like a major breakthrough…

Trip to the library this morning. No weeing on the floor, no stacking the chairs and falling off them, no drawing on the table. All she did was take her shoes off and jump over the squishy dragon they have there. Marvellous!
Got a great book too. Similar to one we’ve had [...]

Accidents…and spiders.

Yesterday, R was walking along a circular bench. D decided to follow her. He made it round twice without incident, then fell off and landed on his chin on the concrete floor. Blood everywhere, from his top gum. It looks like (somehow) the bottom teeth went outside his top teeth, and [...]

Wiblog entry for 10/08/2003

Well, Husband has wandered off for another few days, but Lemly comes home today! Yay! And just so I won’t be sitting around feeling lonely and miserable, we have a full few days planned. Like going to the doctors to pick up a prescription, dropping books back at the library, shopping…. All [...]

It’s too hot.

I have no patience with them, they have no patience with me. I’ve got a headache, we only found a few blackberries (relatively speaking), and I haven’t heard anything back about the viewing yesterday.
Grumblegrumblegrumblegrumblegrumble. Ok, I’ve stopped now.
